“Tomorrow, the Blue Ribbon committee pushes through. We have to hear the testimonies. Even the ones who committed illegal acts today, they are invited,” sabi ni Senador Peter Alan Cayetano sa kanyang Facebook Live kahapon sa kabila ng nangyaring pagpapalit ng liderato sa Senado.

Sinabi pa ni Cayetano na, “You can try to stop us, but you will be stopping the Filipino people.”

“I am still the legitimate, legal, moral Senate President of the Republic of the Philippines.

“We will have the Blue Ribbon committee. As Senate President, the Senate premises are under my authority. Do not padlock the Senate. Do not have an excuse that there is a rally. There is always a rally outside the Senate,” sabi ni Cayetano.

Gatchalian: Work from home ang mga empleyado ng Senado

Samantala, inatasan ni Senate President Pro Tempore Win Gatchalian, ang mga empleyado sa Senado na mag-work from home ngayon, Huwebes, Hunyo 4, 2026 dahil “no official business has been scheduled tomorrow.”

Nagbigay din siya ng instruction na “to give way to the organization of committees under the new chairmen.”

Dagdag pa ni Gatchalian, “In light of this developments and to preserve the neutrality of the Senate bureaucracy, all Senate Secretariat and Senate proper offices are hereby authorized to work-from-home on the said date,”

“I’m issuing a memo to the Secretariat and to the Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms to keep the Senate open tomorrow. We will have the Blue Ribbon Committee [public] hearing.”

Sinabi ni Cayetano sa kanyang pahayag na, “Do not padlock the Senate. I will go to the Senate before 10 o’clock. I will do what I can to open the session hall and our hearings will be there.”

Tugon naman ni Gatchalian, “No officer or employee shall be deemed insubordinate, absent without leave, or otherwise administratively responsible for opting to avail of the arrangement.”
