UMABOT na sa P48.14 million ang naipaabot na tulong ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sa mga apektadong pamilya ng bagyong Ferdie at Mt. Kanlaon.
Ito ang inihayag ni DSWD Assistant Secretary for Disaster Response Management Group (DRMG) at Spokesperson Irene Dumlao base na rin sa report na kanyang tinanggap mula sa Diasater Response Operations Management Information and Communication (DROMIC).
Samantala, handa na ang mga food packs para sa bagyong ‘Gener’ sa DSWD Field Office 2- Cagayan Valley matapos maipreposisyon ang mahigit 6,000 kahon ng family food packs (FFPs) sa rehiyon.
“Based on the directive of Secretary Rex Gatchalian, the DSWD Field Office 2- Cagayan Valley has prepositioned 6,198 boxes of FFPs in the province of Batanes to prepare for the possible impacts of TD Gener,” ayon kay DSWD Asst. Secretary for Disaster Response Management Group (DMRG) at Spokesperson Irene Dumlao.
