Kinumpirma ni Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Dave Gomez ang petsa sa isang text message sa mga reporters.
Ayon sa PCO, tumigil sa Maynila ang Pangulo nitong mahabang bakasyon upang mapag-aralang mabuti
ang P6.793 trillion na budget.
Nauna rito, sinabi ni Executive Secretary Ralph Recto na ang naratipikahang bicameral conference committee report tungkol sa national budget ay isinumite sa Palasyo noong Dec. 29 at kailangan ng “a thorough review to ensure its integrity and effective execution.”
“This deliberate review safeguards fiscal discipline and ensures that taxpayers’ hard-earned money is spent wisely and translated into benefits for the Filipino people,” sabi ni Recto.
