PINANGUNAHAN ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang panunumpa sa panunungkulan ni Special Envoy to the United Arab Emirates for Trade and Investments Ma. Anna Kathryna โKatโ Pimentel nitong Martes, ika-4 ng Hunyo 2024.
Kasama ni Pimentel sa panunumpa ang kanyang asawa na si ย Senate Minority Leader Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel 3rd, at ibang miyembro ng pamilya.
“I am profoundly honored by the trust and confidence President Marcos has placed in me,” sabi ni Pimentel. “My mission is to help in the strengthening of our investment and trade relationship with the UAE.”
Naging aktibo si Kat sa ilang international forums sa investment and economic cooperation na pinangunahan ng UAE, kasama na dito ang World Government Summit noong Pebrero 2024, United Nations Climate Change Conference or COP 28 noong Disyembre 2023, Dubai Airshow and Dubai Watch Week noong Nobyembre 2023, Dubai Expo, and Techspo Dubai.
“With the upcoming 50th anniversary of our diplomatic ties this year, I hope to be able to contribute to the further strengthening of our relationship with the UAE as the Presidentโs special envoy,โ dagdag ni Pimentel.
